Program
Day 1: Valence / Romans / Montélimar
Welcome at Valence train station and departure for Romans, the shoe capital, with a visit to its eponymous museum. Lunch at Bistro André (Maison Pic). Discover nougat in Montélimar, then visit Grignan Castle with views of Provence. Dinner facing the castle and overnight stay in an authentic location with a swimming pool.
Day 2: Chauvet Cave / Pont du Gard / Aigues-Mortes
Drive through the Ardèche and its listed villages. Immersive visit to the Chauvet Cave. Lunch in a wooded park in Ruoms. In the afternoon, explore the Pont du Gard and its museum. End the day in the Camargue with a seafood dinner and overnight stay in a hotel facing the port, with optional swimming pool and spa.
Day 3: Aigues-Mortes / Avignon
Discover Aigues-Mortes: ramparts, narrow streets, colorful salt marshes, and the Tower of Constance, a symbol of Protestant heritage. Lunch in a local bistro, then a guided tour of the Palais des Papes in Avignon. Transfer to Avignon train station for your return journey, your head filled with memories.
